How to Sell Your TY Items to Us

We offer two convenient options to sell your TY Beanie Babies and related products:

Important Condition Requirements

Condition is critical for TY products — we are currently purchasing **mint/new or like-new items only**. Used, played-with, or non-mint items are not accepted at this time.

Requirements for Acceptance:

  • Must be in mint (or like-new) condition for both the item and all tags (hang tag and tush tag).
  • Clean — no dirt, spots, dust, or lint.
  • Odor-free — no smoke, pet smells, perfume, or other odors.
  • Hang tags must be perfect: no creases, bends, price stickers, fading, rips, or writing.

If your items were stored properly (e.g., in plastic bags or bins) and remained clean, dust-free, and odor-free from the original owner, we are very likely to purchase them. However, if they were used as toys, played with, displayed openly, or collected dust, or if acquired from secondary sources (flea markets, garage sales, donations, etc.), we most likely cannot accept them and may need to return the shipment.

Common Questions About "Errors" on TY Beanies

We receive this question almost daily: "My Beanie has an error - does that make it worth thousands?"

Short answer: In most cases, no. Common tag "errors" (like spacing, punctuation, misspellings such as "Origiinal", mismatched dates on hang/tush tags, PVC/PE pellets, stamp/no stamp, nose color variations, or faded tags) do not significantly increase value. These were production variations on millions of Beanies, especially during the 1998–2000 peak of the fad. They appear on highly overproduced items like Princess, Peace, Valentino, Halo, Curly, Hope, Snort, Claude, Patti, Gobbles, Iggy, Rainbow, Hippity, Hoppity, Floppity, and many McDonald's Teenie Bears.

Inflated prices you see on eBay or Etsy (often thousands of dollars) are usually just asking prices - not actual sales. Sellers can list anything; sort by "lowest price" or "sold items" for realistic values. Clickbait articles claiming "top 10 rarest" with these common errors have caused widespread confusion.

True rarities do exist - genuine factory oddities like missing emblems (e.g., Princess missing her rose, Valentino missing his heart, Erin missing shamrock) are much harder to find and can command higher prices (typically hundreds to low thousands in mint condition, depending on the specific Beanie). These are exceptions, not the rule.
